Yukiko Leavitt Obituary (1935 - 2022) - Spring Lake, North Carolina

Yukiko "Akki" Inoue Leavitt, 87 of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Yukiko was born in Kawasaki-shi, Japan to the late Seitaro and Yoshi Inoue. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Leavitt and her son, Dean Leavitt. Yukiko was a devout Buddhist who loved her family more than words could say. She enjoyed traveling back to Japan whenever she got a chance. She enjoyed going to Broadway and Theater shows with family and lunches with her friends. Yukiko is survived by 3 daughters, Patricia Lewis of Newport, NC, Donna Woods and husband Tony of Fayetteville, and Doreen Freitag and husband Chris of Summerville, SC; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Privette and husband Pedro Delgado, Staci Privette, Ian Lewis, Deana Smith and husband Grant, Patrick Woods and wife Kristen, Elias Gause and wife Amanda, and Nick Freitag; 5 great-grandchildren, Sara Alicea, Julien Pozo, Charley Smith, Jackson Smith, and Raylan Gause; and one great-great grandchild, Serenity Alicea. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00PM Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Adcock Funeral Home. A Buddhist Memorial Service will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM in the chapel at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Adcock Funeral Home, Spring Lake.
