Mr. William Vincent "Bill" Gregory, 79, of Sanford, NC, died of cancer on Thursday, December 3, 2015. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the son of the late Agnes Peters and was a US Navy veteran.\n\nMr. Gregory loved spending time outdoors on the back porch, smoking cigars and listening to his talk shows. During the winter, he would spend time in his shed building things for his wife of 56 years, Betty Kelly Gregory. His favorite meal was Betty's homemade spaghetti. He was a great man who will be dearly missed.\n\nHe is preceded in death by his beloved son, Matthew Paul Gregory. He is survived by his wife, Betty Gregory; son, William Vincent Gregory, Jr. and wife, Sandy Gregory; daughters Karen Reynolds and husband, Rich Reynolds, Nancy Gregory and Becky Davis; daughter-in-law, Christine Gregory Coniber; and grandchildren, Will and Alyssa Gregory, Jessica Biggers and husband, Matt Biggers, Jessica Wells, Joshua Wells, Jamie Gregory, Janelle Swafford, Justin and Jacob Johnson and Caleb Davis; and great-grandchildren, Logan Wells, Mason Biggers and Lyam Gregory.\n\nA graveside service will be held at 10:00 A. M. on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery on Fort Bragg.
