William "Bill" Lincoln Danforth, III, 53 of Sanford passed away on October 3, 2021 at his home.\n\nBill was born on June 17, 1968 to. Ret. SGM William L., II and Nancy White Danforth. He is preceded in death by his brother, Doug Danforth, whom he loved and missed dearly.\n\nBesides his parents, he leaves behind his wife, Christie Waters Danforth; children, Taylor Danforth and William "Will" Danforth; grandchildren, Salem and his unborn brother Jesse; bonus children, Joseph "Joey" Ambrose and Emi Ambrose; sister, Shannon Danforth; Favorite cousins, Staci and Tammy Dooley; bonus parents, Ret. SGM Earnie and Kathleen Waters; life-long best friend, Randy Terry and his cats, Gronk and Deedee.\n\nBill was a typical high socks and New Balance tennis shoes kind of dad and grampy. He was passionate about his family and his country. He served in the US Army and was proud to be a veteran. He was quite the handy-man who could build or fix anything. He definitely had a mechanics mind and always had some type of tool in his hand. He had a special knack for fixing and repairing HVAC systems. When he wasn't working, he was watching the New England Patriots, throwing darts, or hunting and fishing. He enjoyed being outside in his garden or planning how he was going to fit one more yard decoration in at Christmas time. \n\nThere will be a visitation for Bill on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Adcock Funeral Home, Spring Lake.
