Watson Elmond Ray

Watson Elmond Ray (Elmond) passed away on May 25th 2022 at the age of 76, after a short battle with Leukemia. He passed away peacefully in the presence of loved ones.

Elmond lived a life full of love and had meaningful and deep relationships with all his family and friends.

Working as a carpenter and in construction throughout his life, his handy work can be seen in the hundreds of homes and buildings he has built over his long career to include his own home and his son's.

Elmond is preceded in death by his parents Mazie Mathews Ray and Watson Ray, brothers David Ray, Gilbert Ray, and Thurmond Ray. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Judy Ray, daughters, Wendy Ray, Rhonda Ray, a son, Christopher Ray, a brother, Eugene Ray and dozens of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive family and friends at Adcock Funeral home in Spring Lake on Saturday June 4th at 2pm.

There will not be a graveside service. Elmond's ashes will be laid to rest at the family plot at Flat Branch Church, Bunnlevel at a later date where a memorial will be erected in his honor.
