Viana Connard Dempsey Obituary (1938 - 2017)

Viana Fay Connard Dempsey, 79, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. Mrs. Dempsey was an Army veteran and worked for many years as an EMT. She is preceded in death by her husband, CSM Stanley E. Dempsey, Sr.. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery on Fort Bragg with Rev. Bill Altman officiating. Interment with the rendering of military rites will immediately follow. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake on Thursday from 12:00 to 1:30 PM prior to the memorial service. She is survived by a daughter, Connie Engle; a son, Stanley Dempsey, Jr.; three grandchildren, Catherine, Bryan and William; brothers, Jimmy and John Connard; and sisters, Kathy Linquist and Jewell Connard.
