Verna Mae Brookshire Obituary (1924 - 2018) - Spring Lake, North Carolina

Mrs. Verna Mae Hite Brookshire, 94, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Highland House Nursing Home in Fayetteville. She is preceded in death by her parents, Plennie S. and Ola Fink Hite; her husband, Joseph Ralph Brookshire; a son, Kim Lee Brookshire; two brothers, Samuel Hite and Verlin Hite; and two sisters, Louise Russell and Doris Shanks. She is survived by daughters, Sherrie B. Leggett and husband, Bill, of Fayetteville and Karen B. Stevens and husband, Don, of Goldsboro; five grandchildren: Audra, Lisa, Lauren, Joshua and Aaron; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10:00 in the chapel of Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake. Interment will immediately follow at Main Post Cemetery, Fort Bragg, NC.
