Vaughn Janzeen Mancio Obituary (1992 - 2018) - Spring Lake, North Carolina

On Friday, February 23, 2018, Vaughn Janzeen Mancio left this Earth. He began his short journey in life on February 17, 1992, in Cebu City, Philippines. Vaughn, or Janzeen as his family knows him by, immigrated to the United States in 1994. He graduated from Southview High School in 2010. He enlisted with the National Guard at the age of 19. He rose to the rank of Sergeant E5 and proudly served the DET-1 626 Service Maintenance Company, 630th Combat Service Support Battalion and was part of the Military Honors Program and conducted 500 or more veteran services. He was accredited with being a great NCO by his peers and subordinates alike. He also served at MATES as a diesel mechanic at the time of his death. Vaughn, or Janzeen as his family calls him, is survived by his parents, Restituto and Teodosia Mancio; brothers, Redford and Ryan Mancio and his wife, Gladys; sister, Roxanne Mancio and her partner, John Marshburn, and their children, Noah and Isabelle Marshburn. He loved his niece and nephew dearly, even though they destroyed everything they touched. He was the youngest of four children and to be honest, the favorite. He never gave the family any trouble and was just a good kid. He was kind, he was honest, and he was genuine. He grew up to be an even better man. The one that will be there for you at the drop of a dime, no questions asked. He was a person that was rare. He made you smile because of his smile. He was passionate about his babies: his cars and his motorcycles. He had a passion for life and adventure. He was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. But I know my baby brother. He would not want us to be sad and grieve. He would want us to celebrate his life. He wants us to smile when we think of him and laugh at the great memories we have of him. He would want my parents to be proud of him. Of how they raised a great man. Little brother, I will miss you annoying me. We will miss hearing you calling out for us. Not hearing you say Mama, Papa, or Kuya (big brother). I will miss hearing Ate (big sister) or you asking where Noah and Isabelle is before you even acknowledge that I'm in the room. We love you so much and I know that you are watching over us. Rest in paradise, baby brother. Until we meet again. Interment with military honors will follow in Rockfish Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
