Ms. Tommie Dean Lewis, 82, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017.\n\nTommie was known for her love for Jesus, playing games with her family, crafting with her grandchildren and hobbies such as books, puzzles and cooking tomato gravy. Throughout her life she was regularly involved in her church by providing baked goods for weekly fellowship dinners, staying overnight at the church assisting with the homeless, making boxes for Operation Christmas Child, preparing for Vacation Bible School and whatever else was needed.\n\nTommie is preceded in death by her parents, two siblings and her two sons, Bill Lewis and Mark Lewis. Surviving are her daughters: Valarie Branch and Brenda Lewis; daughters-in-law : Darcey Brimer and Shelia Lewis; son-in-law: Richard Branch; eleven grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.\n\nFuneral service will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 12:00 PM (noon) at Cedar Falls Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive family and friends at a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, Tommie requested memorials in her memory be sent to Cedar Falls Baptist Church, 6181 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28311.
