Linden, North Carolina
Due to the forecasted severe weather for Saturday, January 24th, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Todd’s Celebration of Life service.
A committal service with military honors will be held on Friday, February 13th at 3:00 PM at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
Though the formal ceremony has been canceled, we invite you to honor Todd by sharing meaningful conversations with family and friends, taking time to reflect on the hope and grace we have in Christ and how that shapes the way we live.
CSM (Retired) Todd Ellis Spradling (April 22, 1964 – January 13, 2026), a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and member of Vine Community Church in Linden, North Carolina, passed away surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
He was born to Albert and Beverly Spradling of LaPorte, Indiana (both deceased), and was preceded in death by his oldest son, Nathan.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Spradling; his sons Caleb (wife Kelli), Joshua (wife Emily), Jacob (wife Alyssa), Luke, and Zach; and his cherished grandchildren, who called him “Pappy”: Theo, Josie, Ellie, and Harper, whose arrival he eagerly anticipated. He is also survived by his brother, Tom Spradling (wife Karen), and many dear friends, whom he counted as family throughout his life.
Todd honorably served 32 years in the United States Army as a Military Policeman and Paratrooper. Following his military career, he continued to serve as a Department of the Army Civilian in the Protection Division at US Forces Command. He was widely respected as a leader and mentor who believed that true leadership meant accomplishing the mission while always taking care of “Joe.” He invested deeply in soldiers, NCOs, and officers, leaving a lasting impact on all who served alongside him. In recognition of his lifelong service, Todd was inducted into the Military Police Corps Hall of Fame.
In lieu of flowers, honor Todd’s service and faith by supporting organizations or efforts that serve soldiers, veterans, and military families with the love of Christ.
