Timothy Elwood Fogg, affectionately known to family and friends as “Timbo,” passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 61.
Born on September 20, 1965, in Spring Lake, North Carolina, Timothy was the son of the late SFC Weymouth “Jerry” Fogg and Nellie Carol Taylor Fogg.
Timbo was a kindhearted, caring man who would do just about anything to help someone in need. He had a wonderful sense of humor, an unforgettable laugh, and a way of making people smile. Those who knew him will always remember his animated storytelling, infectious laughter, and the joy he brought to those around him.
A talented Master Carpenter, Timbo had a true gift for working with his hands and took tremendous pride in everything he built. He was a perfectionist when it came to his craft and believed anything worth doing was worth doing right. He loved sharing his knowledge and experience with others and was always confident in what he knew. With years of knowledge under his belt, he was known to proudly say, “I've forgotten more than you'll ever know!” A saying that those who knew him can probably still hear him saying today, with a smile on his face.
Beyond his talent for building, Timbo had a lifelong love for music. He had been playing the drums since he was a young boy and loved to sing wherever he went. He had a way of turning just about anything into a drum, treating the whole world like his own personal drum kit. Music, laughter, and a little bit of humor were simply part of who he was.
Above all, Timbo loved his family. His children, grandchildren, sister, nieces, nephews, and extended family held a special place in his heart. Though life was not always easy, his cheerful spirit and sense of humor often shined through, and his love for those closest to him remained.
Timbo often spoke of God and his longing to see his loved ones again in Heaven, especially Lisa, the love of his life. His family finds comfort in God's promises and in the hope of a heavenly reunion, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or suffering. His passing serves as a reminder of how precious life is and the importance of faith, love, and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, SFC Weymouth “Jerry” Fogg and Nellie Carol Taylor Fogg; and the love of his life, Lisa Leigh.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Misti Londen Hart and Mandy Lynn Fogg; his stepdaughters, Teresa Leigh Grandy and Jennifer Nicole Bruce; his stepson, Michael Dane Grandy; a granddaughter, Bristol Kayleigh Hart; his sister, Ladonna Carol Fogg; his nephews, Daniel Aaron Ramirez and Justin Neil Ramirez; his niece, Alyssa Brooke Mincey; and many beloved extended family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Spring Lake, North Carolina.
Timbo will be remembered for his generous heart, his unforgettable laughter, the things he created with his hands, his love for music, and the love he leaves behind. Though he is no longer with us, the memories he made and the lives he touched will never be forgotten.
