Tailer Michelle Strickland, 27, of Holly Springs, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022. A beautiful, unique soul lost before her time. \n\nTailer was born September 25, 1994 in Sanford. She is the daughter of Shannon Finch Sloan (Holly Springs) and the late H. Perry Thomas (Mamers). Tailer is also preceded in death by one brother, David Preston Sloan and grandmother Debra Elaine Strickland. \n\n In 1996, Tailer's mom, Shannon, married Michael Chad Sloan and together they lovingly raised and nurtured Tailer. Just a short time later Tailer became a big sister to Shelbie. Tailer graduated from Holly Springs High School in 2012. \n\nTailer had many accomplishments in her short 27 years. Her favorite accomplishments came on November 22, 2014, when she gave birth to her daughter Lilah Carter, now 7. Just a few years later her second favorite accomplishment came on July 12, 2017 when she gave birth to her beautiful son Michael Carter, now 4. She loved her children with all of her heart. Tailer dreamed of living a peaceful, beautiful life along a riverside, just her and her children. She loved everyone and did not know a stranger and had a smile that could light up a room. Tailer obtained her CNA certification and found joy in working with special needs children. She was a talented artist, loved animals, and simply enjoyed being in nature. \n\nTailer is survived by her children, Lilah and Michael Carter; mother, Shannon Finch Sloan; father, Michael Chad Sloan; sister, Shelbie Lynn Sloan; grandparents, Thad and Bettie Strickland (Anderson Creek), Halford Thomas (Mamers) Patsy Carson (Erwin) and Janet Warner (Sanford); aunt, Michelle Stroup (Holly Springs), and Uncle, David Finch (Cary). \n\n \n\n "I hope they remember how much I love my children How much I loved my family. Public visitation will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm.
