Susan Morgan, 67, of Lillington went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 18, 2024, after a brief and unexpected illness. \n\nSusan was born to the late Donald Earl McGaughey and Ellen Belle White on December 24, 1956, in Ft. Bragg, NC. She is survived by her two sons Link and Seth, sister Patricia, spouse Mike, and her two dogs Sally and Ranger.\n\nSusan was a woman of faith and compassion. She was a hard-working, loving, and proud mother of two sons and the men they have grown to be. She was a great friend and a strong believer in karma. Susan loved reading and crocheting, enjoyed watching The Alabama Crimson Tide and having some cold beers with her spouse, friends, and family on the weekends. She was a lover of all animals; some of her favorites included: dogs, wolves, dolphins, bears, and lions. She even had a feral cat she would leave food out for and made a place for it to stay warm when it was cold outside. Speaking for her friends, family, and loved ones she will be sorely missed forever and always, but also remembered and loved.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, the family requests that you use the plant a tree feature at the bottom of this page.\n\nThere will be a visitation for family and friends on the 27th of January 2024, at 12:00 pm at Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake. A memorial service honoring Susan's life will be held following the visitation, starting at 2:00 pm. Officiated by Pastor Curtis Norris.
