Suk "Lee" Ye Akers Obituary (1962 - 2017) - Spring Lake, North Carolina

Suk "Lee" Ye Akers, 55, passed peacefully in her sleep the morning of December 26, 2017, in her home, surrounded by her loving family, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, after a year-long battle with ALS/Lou Gherig's Disease. A strong woman with a beautiful heart, she fiercely loved her family and friends. Her premature departure leaves a void in their lives that will never be filled. She is survived by her husband, Glenn Akers; her daughters, Carol (Wesley) Cox and Diana Akers; her son, John Akers; and her four brothers and sisters, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends in South Korea and the U.S. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake, NC. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held next week in Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
