Stephanie Early Powers, 34, returned to her heavenly home on March 25, 2019 after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in this struggle and ultimately gave her peace.\n\nMs. Powers was born on July 28, 1984 in Scotland County, to her parents, David Powers and Patsy Jones. Stephanie was blessed with a large and loving family. Stephanie spent the last 15 years of her life with her companion, David Teague. Stephanie lived on the North side of Fayetteville, NC. In her first professional role, she was the baker for local Schlotzsky's Deli, She strived daily to bake delicious bread for friends and family and found it a hobby which she also enjoyed in her free time. She retired baking in 2009 and dedicated her remaining time to educating herself in internet technologies, repairing computer hardware, and working alongside David as a technician for many local banks and businesses.\n\nStephanie was a remarkable woman who always gave her love and endless help to those around her. She was a cheerful person, always smiling, with a positive outlook on life who had a passion for music, dancing, decorating and enjoyed nothing more than creating crafts and decorations with her own hands. For weekend outings she loved to camp and ride ATV's enjoying the outdoors with close friends. She also enjoyed decorating rocks with inspirational messages and placing them around town to brighten other people's day as a part of Facebook Fayetteville/Hope Mills Rocks groups. Inspiring creativity and giving joy to others was her life-long goal. A favorite quote of Stephanie was "I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant, it's what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are."\n\nMs. Powers is survived by the love of her life and companion, David Teague; daughter, Kayla, and son, Donnie, of Fayetteville, NC; her sisters, Reneta Fryar of Fayetteville and Dena Locklear of Maxton and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Stephanie wished for any donations or contributions to be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
