Sadie Gertrude Haines Hamilton, 97 of Lenoir, and lately of Spring Lake, NC, was reunited with her loving husband of 67 years, Oscar Randal Hamilton, on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Sadie was born in Portland Maine to the late Harriet Florence Grimmer and Alonzo Parker Haines.

Sadie is survived by her son, Robert Randal Hamilton; two daughters, Pamela H. West (Gerald) and Audrey F. Hamilton; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Sadie was a good Navy wife who followed her husband all over the United States and Japan. Everyone knew her as a hard worker. A lot of women enjoyed hobbies and such but not our mother! She loved going to play Bingo at Cherokee with her best friend Virginia. She was a loving mother who loved to cook and be outdoors. She was greatly cherished and will be significantly missed by her family.

No services will be held per her request.
