Rose Linnea Swanson, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother, passed away on March 25, 2022 at home at 90 years old.\n\nRose was born on November 4, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Agnes and Axel Carlson. She had seven children: Greg Holtz (San Diego, CA), Shawn Anders (Houston, TX), Tammy Adasiak (Chicago, IL), George Holtz (Fayetteville, NC), Gary Holtz, Robert Holtz (Valparaiso, IN), and William Holtz (Lexington, TX). She also has twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Rose was a dedicated mother to her children, sometimes working 3 jobs to provide. Always ensuring that they had everything they needed.\n\nRose married her husband Donald Swanson on June 9, 1972 just six weeks after their first blind date. Don took all seven children as his own never once second guessing his decision, and him too sacrificing for his family that he loved.\n\nRose is preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, son Gary, grandson David, sister Marilyn and other family and friends.\n\nRose was a light in the darkness, always loving, always showing kindness, and always smiling. She never met a stranger and loved everyone. She held fast to her faith and was the epitome of an angel here on earth. She will always be loved and will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
