Ramona May Whitbeck, 78, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.\n\nRamona was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Sophina Miller; her loving husband of 56 years, Douglas F. Whitbeck; four sisters; and four brothers.\n\nThose left to cherish Ramona's memory include her three sons, Doug (Jackie) Whitbeck, Jeffrey Whitbeck, and Corey (Virginia) Whitbeck; her sister, Jane King; her grandchildren, Ryan, Pamela, Krystal, Michael, and Stephan; and her great grandchildren; Brendan, Alikz, and Hope.\n\nRamona had a big heart. She loved to care for people. She raised her three boys into men, and after they were out of the house she took to caring for animals, friends, neighbors, and anyone else who might have needed it. She was a terrific cook, and enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She was a prolific reader and almost always had a book nearby, if not in-hand. Most of all, Ramona loved her family, especially her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be truly and deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.\n\nA service will be held in Ramona's honor on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00 - 10:45 AM.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
