Polly Jo Pursche

It is with deep sadness that Polly Jo Pursche, 72, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at her home with her husband by her side. Polly was born in Saginaw, Michigan, on January 26, 1949, to the late Raymond and Violet Yarger.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Sally Ann Yarger. Also preceded by sisters, Betty Sue, Janet, Judy Ann and brothers William "Bill", Raymond "Sonny", Joseph "Butch", John, Lawrence "Bobe", and Daniel "Dan".

Polly is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bruno Pursche; her son Bruno Pursche II, wife Hope; her daughter Kristina Worrell, husband Glenn, and one sister Beulah "Boots" Bartholomew. Also, seven grandchildren: Corey Pursche, wife Katie; Bruce, spouse Ashley; Jason, partner Amy; Danielle and partner, Cami; Noah; Ariel, husband David; Dillon Paul. In addition she is survived by five great-grandchildren: Auden, Ella, Greyson, Madison, and Brantlee. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and other extended family.

Polly was known by her loving attitude and ability to cook great food. Throughout her life she fed multitudes of people around the world. She worked, owned, and operated a number of different restaurants throughout the years, and one of her greatest joys in life at work and home was watching people enjoy the food she cooked. She lived a full life as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, affectionately know as "Nana Polly". She showed unconditional love for her family and friends and instilled good values in her children and grandchildren that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A celebration and remembrance of Polly's life will be held at Johnsonville Church of God, 627 Brooks Mangum Rd, Cameron, NC on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 1:00 PM. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM-12:45 PM. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
