Placidio Juan Rivera Obituary (1964 - 2022) - Spring Lake, North Carolina

Placidio Juan Rivera, 58, of Sanford, Florida passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on April 18, 1964 in Ft. Benning, Georgia to Alexander C. Rivera and Mary Gwendolyn Perry Rivera. Placidio proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He loved God, Familiy, and Country. Placidio loved history and collected 1/6 scale WWII memorabilia from the European Theater which he utilized as a teaching tool for his son. He enjoyed following and being involved in politics. Placidio enjoyed watching basketball, baseball, and football and cheering on his favorite teams, the Miami Dolphins, Florida State Seminoles and the Anaheim Angels. He loved life and people, always keeping a positive realistic outlook on life. Placidio will forever be remembered by all who knew him, and his love for the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Tawny Rivera; father, Alexander C. Rivera; children Devon Rivera, Fallon Rivera and Wyatt Rivera and brother, Michael Rivera. Placidio was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Gwendolyn and his brother Alexander Rivera, II. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 11:00AM at Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave. #100, Charlotte, NC 28207. Services are entrusted to Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory, Spring Lake.
