Peggy Ann Matthews

Ms. Peggy Ann Brown Matthews, 81, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Senter's Memory Care in Fuquay Varina, NC.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Brown and Olive Thomas Brown; husband, E. B. Matthews; and sister, Frances Sloan.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6, 2016, at 2:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church, Spring Lake, NC with Rev. Marshall Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Spring Lake, NC.

Surviving are sons, Elvin B. Matthews, Jr. and Evelyn Hymes; Robert M. Matthews and wife, Susan; daughters, Katrina M. Currin and fiance, Bob Jones; and Lesa M. Shaw and husband, Bobby; and sister Doris Leslie. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren: Kimberly, Chestley, Elvin III, David, Krystle, Sonya, Robert Jr., Amanda, Dylan, T.J., Kristy, Kelly, and Cody; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Adcock Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and at other times at Peggy's home.
