Patricia Ann Lockett May, 86, of Hope Mills went home to be with the Lord on February 24, 2022.\n\nPatricia was born on August 3, 1935 to the late William James Lockett and Betty Lockett Vogel in San Francisco, California. Besides her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband Levi E. May and her sons, James Robert May and John Clarence May; sister, Marianne Monro; brother, Bill Vogel and step-father, William Vogel.\n\nPatricia adored her family and leaves behind her daughters Cathy Hardin and Mary Lavier; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.\n\nPatricia was a sweet lady and loved to write and send notes to friends, family, and church members. She was an ice cream connoisseur and enjoyed it any chance she could. She spent her life taking care of her military family, finally settling in in Harnett County and becoming an active member of Union United Methodist Church and working in civil service at Fort Bragg. In her later years, she became the BINGO champ at Hope Mills Retirement Center and a word search pro.\n\nThere will be a funeral service honoring Patricia's life at 1:00pm on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Union United Methodist Church, Spring Lake with Pastor Bill Altman officiating. There will be a visitation for friends and family held one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery.
