On January 9, 2022, God called his good and faithful servant, Patricia A. Crocker, to her eternal rest. She was the youngest of six children born on September 15, 1940 to the late Willie Reed and Rosa Monroe Hodges, in Spring Lake, NC. She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Jr.; three brothers, Theodore, Arthur Clarence and Charles; and two sisters, Willie Jean and Pearlene.\n\nAs a teenager, she was introduced to the love of her life, the late Johnny B. Crocker. Three years later, they united in marriage on February 11, 1962. They were blessed with four children, Daryl, Johnny Jr. (deceased), Sharon and Michael.\n\nPatricia was educated in the Cumberland County School System, graduating from Anne Chestnut High School. She accepted Christ as her Savior in her youth, faithfully attending Williams Chapel F.W.B. Church. In later years, she attended Bethel A.M.E. Zion Church.\n\nIn her early years, she operated a "candy store" out of her home. In later years, she was employed on Fort Bragg base lodging, retiring after 30 plus years of service.\n\nFig Ann, Pony, and Figgy were all names she was affectionately called. Her life was filled with love and family. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her home was always welcoming and a frequent gathering place. She was a favorite Auntie to all her nieces and nephews, helping parent three nieces and nephew. She saw the good in people. Her conversation was tempered with advice "to pray" always for God's guidance. She did without questioning, without expecting. Her favorite thing to do was spend time spoiling her beloved grandchildren.\n\nPatricia will be truly missed by all who loved her, forever in their hearts.\n\nLeft to cherish her life and memory are: two devoted daughters, Daryl (Joseph) Pinckney of Warner Robins, GA, and Sharon (Isaac) Farlow of Charlotte, NC; one loving son, Michael (Marcheal) Crocker of Spring Lake, NC; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous loving, devoted nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.\n\nA celebration of Patricia's life will be held at Bethel AME Zion Church at 255 Vass Road, Spring Lake on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM.\n\nAny flowers, gifts or monetary donations should be sent to Adcock Funeral Home, 2226 Lillington Highway, Spring Lake, NC 28390.
