Mrs. Nellie "Nell" Baker Wise, 85, of Spring Lake, North Carolina, passed away on\nMonday, January 12, 2015. at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville,\nNorth Carolina.\n\nMrs.\nWise was a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She\nled the singing each week, and worked in the non-profit thrift shop\nand food bank at Anderson Creek Community Church. She was an Ambassador for over twenty years\ntraveling and\nparticipating in the Senior Olympics, winning the Bronze, Silver and Gold\nmedals. For years she was involved in\nthe Harnett County Meals on Wheels and sat on the Board of Aging in Harnett\nCounty. She volunteered with the Gideon\nBible Ministry providing\nguidance and bibles to prisoners. She\nministered at local nursing homes providing fellowship and singing. Nell touched the lives\nof many and will be greatly missed.\n\nA\nfuneral service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 8:30 AM at Anderson Creek Community Church in Spring\nLake. Interment will follow in Sandhills\nState Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake. \nThe family will receive friends at a visitation on Thursday, January 15,\n2015 from 7:00 P. M. to 9:00 P. M. at Adcock Funeral Home & Crematory in\nSpring Lake.\n\nMrs.\nWise is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Fred Wise, Jr.; daughters,\nBeverly Ray and husband, Pete of Spring Lake and Tabitha Wise and husband, Mike\nBrown of Fayetteville; sons, Bobby Wise, Sr. and wife, Christie of Roseboro and\nBenson Wise of Sanford, NC. She is also\nsurvived by grandchildren, Jaime Ray Kelly and husband Barrett; Bobby "BJ"\nWise, Jr.; Corey Wise and wife, Donna; Kristen Kirk and husband, Nathan; Kasie\nBrown and companion, Alicia Gomez; Brandon Wise, Amanda Pate, Traci Brink and\nhusband, Josh; and Michael Wise; and great-grandchildren, Jackson Kirk,\nCallahan Kirk, Makayla Gomez, Ayden Pate, Cholee Wise and Harlowe Kelly.
