John was born on June 2, 1934, in Nyack, New York, to the late John Nicholas Schall and Dorothea Bassett.
John proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service with the rank of Sergeant First Class (E-7). Their property would be transformed into a temporary RV park to accommodate the many visitors who came to enjoy the food, fellowship, and good times. These gatherings created countless memories for family and friends over the years.
