Sanford, NC: Mrs. Mary Adcock Thomas, 88 of Kendale Drive, Sanford, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015.\n\nShe was born on December 19, 1927 in Granville County to the late Daniel T. Adcock and Allie Dean Adcock. She graduated from Boone Trail High School. Mrs. Thomas worked with her husband on their farm in Harnett County.\n\nPreceding her in death were her brothers, Grady, Otha, Alpha and Jim Adcock; and her twin sister, Martha Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Odell B. Thoma. They were married for over 69 years. She is also survived by her children: Larry Thomas and wife, Nancy of Sanford; Sharon Woodham and husband, Pete, of Charlotte; Debra McMahon and husband, Joe, of Centreville, VA; Beverly Tucker and husband, James, of Sanford; and Tammy Contafio and husband, Andy, of Waxhaw. She is survived by her grandchildren; Jeremy Thomas of Sanford; Lea (Pete) Finger of Chapel Hill; Simon Woodham of Brooklyn, NY; Calli Woodham of Brooklyn, NY; Chris (Samantha) McMahon of Reston, VA; Matt McMahon of Burke, VA; Kacey McMahon of Arlington, VA; Alex Tucker of Ocean Isle Beach; Amy Tucker of Sanford; Chelsea Contafio of Charlotte; and Nick Contafio of Waxhaw. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Luke Thomas and Abby Thomas of Sanford.\n\nThe family will receive friends on Monday, December 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Adcock Funeral Home, Spring Lake. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Adcock Funeral Home with Rev. Shirley Bain officiating.
