Mary Elizabeth Holmes

Spring Lake, NC: Ms. Mary Elizabeth Holmes, 72, died Saturday, December 26, 2015, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Ms. Holmes is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Mattie Holmes; sisters, Peggy Cyr and Betty Lou Ward; brother, Buddy Holmes and son, Timothy Pierce.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Spring Lake with Dr. Randy Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens in Spring Lake.

Surviving is a son, Raleigh Pierce and wife, Carol; daughters, Shiralee Timmons and fiance, Bruce Murchison; Mary Schwingle and fiance, Donny Kersey, Jr.; grandchildren: Timmy, Krystle, C.J., Cynthia and Ashley and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
