Marie Wood McDonald West

Marie Wood McDonald West, 91, of Spring Lake, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016. She was born June 8, 1925 to Edgar and Martha Smith Wood.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Carl J. McDonald,Sr. and Devon West; brothers, Carol Wood and Paul Wood; sisters, Eula Tippett, Melba Canaday, Pearl Norman,Lois Young, Annie Lou Rhodes and Grace Raynor; and grandson, Chad Howard McDonald.

Mrs. West is survived by daughters, JoAnn Clark and Brenda Glover and friend, Jimmy Marshburn; sons, Carl McDonald, Jr. and Paul McDonald and wife, Brenda; sisters, Eloise Raynor and Edna Ferrell; grandchildren, Wendy (Allen) Coats, Rose (Bill) Pannhoff, Amanda Clark, Larry (Milva) Clark, Jr. and Paula (Timmy) Holder; great-grandchildren, Logan (Travis) Boatwright, Erin (Eric) Blaesing, Jason McCoy, Lauren Clark and Megan Clark; and great-great-grandchildren, Noah, Madison and Ava Blaesing.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church in Spring Lake with Pastor Rupert Rivenbark and Curtis Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends and family at a visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake.
