Margaret Underwood

Margaret Underwood, 78, of Spring Lake, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. She was born on June 3, 1946, in Cumberland County, North Carolina, to the late John Robert and Eva Louise Overton.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Gina Underwood. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Lisa Hall (Timothy) of Spring Lake, NC; granddaughter, Melissa Sherman (Daniel) of Missouri; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Shultz, Taylor Shultz, and Jackson Shultz. Margaret is also survived by her sister, Frances Morris (Donald) of Spring Lake, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

A service to honor Margaret’s life will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake. The family will receive friends one hour prior, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Spring Lake.

Margaret enjoyed doing puzzles; enjoying them in her quiet moments. She was also known for her love of coffee, music, and dancing. Her infectious spirit and warm heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
