Kitty Evelyn Tart

Willie Evelyn Haire "Kitty" Tart, 76, of Fayetteville, NC passed away at her home on Monday, December 5, 2022.

Kitty was born to the late Coy James Haire and Mamie Lee Taylor Haire on January 16, 1946 in Harnett County. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Felton Tart, Jr., and brothers, Dell Gene Haire and Troy Tilton "Buck" Haire.

She is survived by daughter; Angie Hendricksen and husband, Jerry; son, Buddy Tart and wife, Julie; daughter, Annette Robertson and husband, Daniel; and daughter, Gail Holmes and husband, John; brothers, Robert Haire and Carl Haire and a sister, LaRuth Sharpless; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Kitty was a jokester who loved her family, her daddy and husband, Felton, who was her high school sweetheart. She also loved history. Kitty was feisty and impatient, wanting things done now. She enjoyed working outside and animals, including pigs, "Elmer", dogs and cows.

A funeral service for Kitty will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2022 in the chapel of Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake, NC. Interment will follow at Hodges Chapel Cemetery, 780 Hodges Chapel Road, Benson, NC. The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. on Saturday December 10, 2002 at Adcock Funeral Home, Spring Lake, NC.
