Kermit Ray Elmore Obituary (1938 - 2021) - Spring Lake, North Carolina

Kermit Ray Elmore, 82, of Spring Lake, NC, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington, NC. Kermit was a retired farmer. After retirement he worked for Food Lion in Lillington for over 29 years until his death. He was also an avid quail hunter. He was a quiet, humble man and through the years made many friends and was generous in helping others without wanting any recognition for himself. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Guthrie Elmore and Susan Jane Hawley Elmore; and a brother, Wayman G. Elmore. He is survived by sisters, Annie E. Polinski and Opal C. Elmore; nephews, William Polinski, Paul Polinski and wife, Kim; and Joey Polinski and wife, Joann; and nieces, Sherry Patterson and Beth Butler. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at 11:00 AM. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Randall Gilliam officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service at New Hope Baptist Church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
