Kenneth Eugene Whitehead

Kenneth Eugene Whitehead, 60, passed away on November 21, 2021 after a brief illness.

Kenneth was born at Womack Army Medical Center in Fayetteville on September 25, 1961 to Harold Eugene Whitehead and Sarah Jane Miller Whitehead.

Kenneth worked for Cape Fear Valley Hospital for over 20 years before moving on to work at Highsmith Rainey Hospital. Kenneth was always working on something and loved to stay busy. He could fix and put together anything, but especially loved to decorate for Christmas. Kenneth's favorite place to be was on a cruise ship headed to any beach. When he wasn't cruising, he enjoyed spending quiet time fishing. He was a lover of animals and spending time with his family. He will be missed.

He leaves behind many memories that his family will forever cherish. He leaves behind his partner of 11 years, Brenda Ward; his siblings, Janice Arellano and husband Alvaro, Lorena Escada, Howard Whitehead and companion Robin Bunn, Charles Whitehead and wife Cindi Honey, and Melissa Whitehead; many nieces and nephews, family and friends; and Timothy Holder, who was like a son to Kenneth.

A visitation will be held for Mr. Whitehead on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Adcock Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
