Mrs. Kathie Marie Delp passed away on 27 May 2023. She was the daughter of the late Henry Allen McArthur Jr., and Helen Marie Zapata. Kathie was born September 28, 1960 in Wiesbaden, Germany. She attended the public schools of Cumberland County and was a graduate of Pine Forest High School.\n\nShe was united in Holy Matrimony in July 1986 and was married 36 years. She accompanied her husband, Randall Eric Delp, who served in the U.S. Army, to many stateside and overseas destinations including North Carolina, Washington State, California, Okinawa Japan and Seoul, South Korea. She became a Christian in 1986 and was thoughtful, humble, had a funny, witty sense of humor and a graceful lady. She had many lifelong friends that loved her for the deep caring attitude she expressed with them. She had a successful homebased business selling Mary Kay Cosmetic skin care products to multiple loyal clients. Her passion was to help other women find their inner beauty. Another passion of hers was supporting Sanford, NC animal rescue shelters, such as CARA, during local community events. These public raised donations helped provide funding which was a valued part of her business philosophy and Christian values. For a limited time, she was a member of the Sanford Business and Professional Woman’s Organization.\n\nShe is survived by her husband who deeply loved her, and her son, Jarret Austin Delp, born December 18, 1989, her mother Helen Marie Zapata, her brother Michael Allen McArthur, her sister Rhonda Lynne Weaver, nieces, nephews, cousins and many lifelong friends that loved her, including Diana Jackson of South Carolina, Barbie Coleman and Arlene Waren of Washington State, Linda Pyfrom of Tennessee, as well as dozens of Mary Kay customers who became her faithful friends due to her kindness and heartfelt, warm personality.\n\nShe will be deeply missed and remembered. She is free in Heaven with Jesus, her Lord and Savior.\n\nThere will be a visitation for family and friends on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Adcock Funeral Home, Spring Lake.
