June Andreen Nailor\n\n \n\nJune 28, 1924 to September 15, 2020\n\n \n\nJune Andreen Nailor, 96, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Durham and Pittsboro, North Carolina, died from heart failure on September 15, 2020 and went to be with her loving Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Richard Nailor, three older sisters and a nephew.\n\nShe was born June 28, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois. June served as a volunteer nurse during WWII. She attended secretarial school, was employed by Swift and Co., Westfield Bottle Gas, Associated Hardware, Duke University School of Nursing, and retired 26 years ago from her position as Secretary to the Vice President of Student Affairs at Duke.\n\nShe is survived by four children, Margie Morrison (Tim), Carolyn Vargas (Gil), Nancy Fairley (Rich) and David Nailor (Suzi), 13 grand and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who dearly loved Aunt June.\n\n \n\nBurial will be at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, North Carolina, and a memorial service will be held in October at Arbor Oaks Bible Chapel in Dubuque, Iowa, date pending.
