John Earl Sanders III, son of the late Q. C. Jones Sanders and Rev. John Sanders, Jr., was born on April 23, 1943, in Jackson, Mississippi. He departed this life on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington, NC.\n\nJohn graduated from Campbell University in 1981 with a BS degree in Math. He worked with the Harnett County School Systems as a Math Teacher; taught in the Success Academy Program, and the Harnett Correctional Facility in Lillington, NC. He was a Vietnam-Era Veteran who served as a Paratrooper and a Military Policeman.\n\nJohn was Baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 31, 2010 and enjoyed sharing and speaking about God's Kingdom to all he came in contact with.\n\nSurviving is his beloved wife: Petrina Sanders; daughters: Krystal Manning (Phillip), Rhonda Dykes and Sharry Hayes; sons: Daniel King (Angela) and Ellis King; sisters: Dr. Bettie Sanders McKinley Leflore, Queen Sanders Johnson (Dr. R. C.), Dr. Joanna Sanders Mann, Johnnie Pearl Sanders Santiago (Luis), Johnette Sanders Jefferson (Elzie); brothers: Thomas, Isaiah, Amos, Enoch (Virgie), and Joseph (Fannie).\n\nJohn was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Earl Sanders.\n\nFuneral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 109 Raynor Road, Spring Lake, NC. A private family burial will be held at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery on Fort Bragg at a later date.\n\nThe family will receive friends and family at a visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake, NC.
