John Alfred Miller, Jr., 44, a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend departed this life on Thursday, January 21, 2021. \n\nHe was born June 21, 1976 in Tucson, Arizona and is the son of John Alfred Miller Sr. and Maritza Pugh. Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his parents, Maritza Pugh (Roger), John Miller Sr. (Cathy); children, Akyvia Miller, Jhai Miller, Javianna Miller, Jonye Miller, Nicolas Carrol and John Miller, III; sister, Melissa Miller; brothers, Roger Pugh, Jr., Jonathan Miller (Breana) and Ryan Miller; girlfriend, Carol Hobbs; nieces, Emoni Shelly, Mekaela Carr, and Ava Miller; nephews, Darian Lessane, Isaiah Miller, Maverick Miller, and Landon Miller, and a host of cousins, family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. \n\nJohn graduated from Pine Forest High School. He could carry on a conversation with anyone and was a friend to everyone he met. Because of his ability to talk to people, it gave him great negotiation skills. He always aspired to be an entrepreneur, and opened a shop to fix broken phones, and was currently planning on opening a food truck in Fayetteville. He always loved sports and especially the Dallas Cowboys. He loved to bowl and did it as much as he could. He league bowled twice a week and traveled for bowling matches. John held a position in HR for Kelly Service for the Mann and Humble Distribution and had earned several top associate awards while working for Aflac. He loved his family and talked about them often and enjoyed spending time with them at their weekend cookouts. \n\nThere will be a Celebration of Life Service for John on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory, Spring Lake. Public visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
