Jewell Fay Thomas Barbour, 81, of Fayetteville went home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2021.\n\nJewell was born in Burtonville, Kentucky on January 17, 1940 to the late Cora Cropper and Franklin J. Thomas. She is the last of eleven children and is also preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Guy Ray Barbour, Sr., their daughter Michelle "Shelle" Barbour, and her son-in-law Robert Marlow.\n\nJewell leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory. Her children, Guy "Skeeter" Barbour and wife Lavonne, and Kim Marlow; her grandchildren, Marina Wagner (Michael), Michael Martinez, Candice Barbour MacDonald (Chris), Tammy Graves, and Danielle Lowry (Robbie); her great-grandchildren, Madilyn Wagner, Brooke MacDonald, Morgan Graves, Kaleb Lowry and Joseph Lowry; her great-great-grandchild, Carter Graves and many other family members and friends.\n\nJewell was a christian woman with a great sense of humor. She loved her family and enjoyed crafting, painting and being a mom to everyone. Jewell loved her four-legged babies, Chrissy and Willow and would often "Bless your heart" whether you needed it or not. Jewell was a treasure to her family and will be missed terribly.\n\nThere will be a service honoring her life on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 12:00pm at Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory, Spring Lake with burial immediately following at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, where she will be reunited with her husband and love of her life.
