Retired SFC Jessie Frank Reeves, 79, of Spring Lake went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2023.\n\nJessie was born to the late Frank and Valesta Moore Reeves on July 7, 1943 in Newton, Mississippi. He is survived by his wife, Tamara "Tammy" Lee Reeves; children, Sven J. Lee, Yusuf Reeves (Alicia), Rajah Reeves (Tizely) and Jessie Reeves (Ebony); siblings, Dixie Friend, Valerie Smith, Kent Smith; Carye Farmer (Scott); 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as well as many other family members and friends.\n\nJessie loved to work with his hands, whether it was working in the yard, building things, or fixing cars or furniture. He could fix anything and everything. Jessie loved to travel and loved his country. He retired with over 30 years of service from the 82nd Airborne and spent many years in the Fill Artillery. He was highly decorated and often told stories of being a paratrooper.\n\nThere will be a visitation at Adcock Funeral Home on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 1:00PM for family and friends. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00PM with burial following at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Bragg.
