Hello, it's me, Jamie. I was born as Jamie Sue Gilmore on a chilly January 18, 1952, in Sanford, NC, and I've managed to make a life filled with laughter, love, and a little bit of mischief in Lillington, North Carolina. You could find me enjoying my favorite pastimes: the beach, the mountains, and most importantly, my cherished grandchildren. \n\nIn the immortal words of Dr. Seuss, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." I've lived a life filled with love and laughter, and I hope you'll remember me in the same way. My daughters, Cassie Champney and Jamie Smith, my son, William Smith, my loving sister, Betty Daniels, my significant other, Marshall Darroch, and my 11 wonderful grandchildren—all of whom I adored—survive me. I've been preceded in death by my dear son, Billy Ayers, and my parents, whose names you don't need to worry about. I've tried to be a funny, loving, and resilient figure in their lives, and I hope I've succeeded. \n\nLife is a journey filled with highs and lows, but I've always believed in celebrating the good times and learning from the tough ones. I hope you'll remember me as someone who loved deeply, laughed often, and lived fully. To help keep my memory alive, I invite you to share your favorite stories, moments, or photos of our time together on my memorial page. Your memories are the greatest tribute to the life I've lived.
