Hildegard McGirt

Hildegard Hergoz Paul McGirt, 92, of Raeford, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 17, 2023. Hildegard was born in Germany. She was the only child of the late Alford and Maria Hergoz. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Luther Paul, Sr.; a daughter, Betty Jean; and her second husband, Buddy McGirt.

Hildegard was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Dundark. She loved all kinds of animals especially German Shepherds. She loved her German Shepherd, Heidi, and her cat Sugar. She loved to read and go for walks. She also enjoyed trips to the beach.

Hildegard is survived by four children, Luther Paul, Jr., Mary Ann Davis, Linda Ortiz and husband Joe, and Hilda Keller; and 5 grandchildren, Luke Paul, Jeff Paul, Sabrina Heeks, Jason Heeks, and Joseph Ortiz; several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Raeford Cemetery.
