Retired US Army SFC Herman David Hicks, 65, of Spring Lake, North Carolina died in his residence on Monday, April 20, 2015. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina at 10:00 AM with full military honors. The family will receive friends at a visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Hicks; daughter, Kristal Brown; son, Phillip Hicks; and four grandchildren.
