Herbert Owens

Retired Army SFC Herbert Owens, 88, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in the NC State Veterans Nursing Home in Fayetteville, NC. He was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He served in Special Forces.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery on Fort Bragg, NC. Interment will immediately follow.

Surviving is a son, Gary Owens and wife, Kathy; six grandchildren: Gary Owens, Jr., Tammy Lee Owens, Charles Haas III, Michelle Mess, Eric Brown and Kymberlei Kruger; nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
