Evelyn Colville Womack

Evelyn Colville Womack, 93, of Lillington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, while surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 23, 1932, in Erwin, NC, to the late James Henry Colville and Alice Hawley Colville.

Evelyn was a devoted wife to the late William Hubert Womack and a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a woman of faith whose Christian devotion was evident in her kindness, compassion, and care for others. A longtime member of Union Methodist Church, she found joy in worship, fellowship, and serving her church community.

She was a nurturing soul who loved her family deeply. Evelyn enjoyed cooking family meals, quilting, tending to her garden, and watching the hummingbirds that often visited. She also cherished collecting angels, a reflection of her gentle and caring spirit. Her love for nature and simple joys in life will long be remembered by those who knew her.

In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Hubert Womack and her “daughter in heart,” Joyce McKinney, and her siblings: Morris Colville, Bill Colville, Marjorie Ballard, Ed Colville, and Marvin Colville.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Edmonds (Pat) of Lillington, NC; her son, Michael Womack (Tina) of Lillington, NC; and three grandchildren, Aaron Edmonds, Delaney Womack, and William Womack. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Union Methodist Church, with a graveside service immediately following at the church cemetery.
