On Sunday April 10th, 2022, Evelyn Gloria Arce passed away peacefully in Pinehurst, NC at the age of 91. Evelyn was born October 23rd, 1930, in San Diego County, CA.\n\nShe was a devoted and supportive wife and was an exemplary mother and grandmother. She was known for being a great cook and her recipes and cooking tips will be passed on for generations to come.\n\nIn the late 70s, she worked for the state of California in the Employment Development Department as well as the Department of Motor Vehicles until her retirement. She always said that she continued to work so she could do special things for her grandchildren. In her retirement years, Evelyn and her husband Umberto enjoyed taking weekend trips and going to big band dances, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.\n\nMrs. Arce is preceded in death by her husband Umberto whom they were married for 64 years.\n\nEvelyn is survived by her two sisters Ernestine and Alice; children Michael (Jeanette) Arce, Steve (Debra) Arce, and Carolyn Thompson; grandchildren Michael (Azad) Arce, David (Dorothy) Arce, Steven (Brianna) Arce, Andrew Arce, Allison (Jeff) Frank, Ryan (Toni) Arce, Jessica Arce, Rebecca Arce, Matthew Thompson, and Cristie Thompson; and her 15 great-grandchildren.\n\nCondolences may be made at adcockfuneralandcrematory.com.
