Retired Army SSG Estus Eugene "Gene" Young, 85, passed away in his residence on Monday, June 18, 2018. SSG Young was a Korea and Vietnam veteran. After retirement he worked civil service on Fort Bragg, NC. A graveside funeral service and interment with military honors will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 25, 2018, at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery on Fort Bragg, NC. Surviving is his wife, Linda Young; step-daughter, Betty Lynch; son-in-law, Derek Furbank; sister, Judy Siegenthaler; brother, David Young; grandchildren, Lani and Alex Furbank; nephews, Tom and John Young, and niece, Chris Newman.
