Edwin L. Mobley, 82, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 after a brief illness.\n\nMr. Mobley retired after 22 years in the military, most of it in the US Navy. He received the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal and three good conduct medals. He was formerly of Vallejo, California and was a lifetime member of the Gateway Chapter #3 of the Order of the Eastern Star and Post 1125 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. \n\nHe is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mobley; parents, Ennis and Maggie Mobley; brother, Russell Mobley and sister, Glenn Turner.\n\nMr. Mobley is survived by sisters, Margaret Williams of Fayetteville, NC, Hester\nLanier of Chinquapin, NC; and several nieces and nephews.\n\nA memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 in the chapel of\nAdcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake.
