Edgar Furman "Pete" Bell, Jr, 66 of Hope Mills, NC, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.\n \nPete graduated from Southview High School in 1974. He was a loving and caring husband, father, papa, brother, son and friend. He loved softball and was always joking around. Pete was a family man and loved playing with his kids and grandkids in the yard. His wife, Beverly, was his best friend and he always treated her like a queen. He always remained strong through all of his struggles.\nPete is preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn B. Bell and Edgar F. Bell, Sr., brothers, Rickey Bell, James S. Bell, Bobby Bell and Frank Bell. \n \nHe is survived by his wife, Beverly Bell of Hope Mills, NC; daughter, Kimberly Matthews, husband, David, of Spring Lake, NC; daughter, Brandy Bullard, husband, Daryl, of Hope Mills, NC; son, Josh Moncrief, wife, Christy, of High Point, NC; seven grandchildren: Jordan Bullard, Tyler Bullard, Carmen Moncrief, Carson Matthews, Olivia Moncrief, Keegan Matthews and Elena Moncrief; and brothers, Marty Bell of Raeford, NC and Alton Bell of South Carolina.\n \nThere will be a floating reception for friends and family on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 5344 Miranda Drive, Hope Mills, NC 28348.\n \nFlowers and donations may be sent to the above address.
