Woodland, NC: Mrs. Dorothy Jean "Dot" Rolan Harkey, 82, formerly of Spring Lake, passed away peacefully Monday, March 28, 2016, in Vintage Inn in Williamston, NC. \n\nDot was a loving wife and mother. She was a graduate of Methodist University with a B.S. Degree in Nursing. She was a talented pianist and organist and supported her husband and served with him in his pastoral ministry. She was a member of Manola Baptist Church, Woodland, NC and a member of Pendleton Eastern Star. She was a past member of Spring Lake Eastern Star and Lillington Eastern Star. \n\nFuneral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 2:00 PM in Adcock Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville, NC. A visitation for family and friends will be 12:00 noon to 1:30 PM prior to the service.\n\nSurviving is her husband, Cecil Harkey; son, Michael E. Harkey and wife, Shirley; and two daughters, Lorie Beth Taylor and husband, Ralph E. Taylor, and Tami Jean Zerbst and husband, Karl Zerbst. She is also survived by grandchildren: Michael C. Taylor, Matthew Tuton, Teri L. Taylor, Andrea M. Tuton, and Jennifer Shields; and great-grandchildren: Briana Shields, Caleb Shields, Joshua Shields, Ava Taylor, Jayda Taylor and Nolan Taylor.\n\nIn lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimers Foundation, 400 Oberlin Road, Suite 220, Raleigh, NC 27605.
