In Loving Memory of\n\nDONNA PATRICIA LEWIS\n\n12-13-1949 to 11-08-2022\n\n \n\nDonna Patricia Lewis, 73, of Bunnlevel, NC, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 8, 2022, with her family by her side. \n\nDonna was born at Womack Hospital, Fort Bragg, to the late Billy Cecile and Aleisha Hambelton.\n\nShe was just recently preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 53 years, Mart Thomas Lewis lll, and her son, Matthew Lewis. Also preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Hall, sister, Shirley Jean Hall, and brother-n-law, David Hull.\n\nDonna is survived by her son Michael Lewis and daughter in law Julie Lamb Lewis. Family members Dennis Hambelton (Jocelyn) and sisters, Linda Howell (Larry), Delores Smith (Brian), Sonia Hull, Wilma Harper (Bobby) and many loved nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. \n\nDonna was very talented, even as a child she learned piano in the 3rd grade and played for her church. She began teaching piano at the age of 12. Donna loved to visit her parents and would sit with her mother and sew and make quilts. \n\nAfter graduating high school from Pine Forest in Fayetteville, NC, Donna attended Methodist College to further her Music Education. Prior to retirement, Donna was a teacher's assistant at South Harnett Elementary School with some of her best friends, Lisa Rodriguez, Linda Barefoot, Mary Allen and was a full-time certified Bus Transportation employee for 26 years. \n\nThroughout her life, Donna and her family attended Pleasant Hill Advent Christian Church where she loved playing the piano. Later in life she became a member of Dunn Advent Christian Church. She will be missed by her family and many friends. \n\nThe family would like to thank her many friends, family members, close neighbors, her pastor and pastor's wife, who were all a God send during the last year. May God bless you for all your help and love shared with her. \n\nFriends and family will privately gather at a later date to remember Donna and share memories of her love and devotion.
