Donald Stegall Sr.

Donald Stegall Sr., 72, of Spring Lake, North Carolina, passed away on March 1, 2025. Born on December 22, 1952, he was the son of the late Albert and Violet Stegall. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin Reece Stegall; his sister-in-laws, Brenda Stegall and Margaret Stegall; and his niece, Tabitha Stegall.

A proud veteran, Donald dedicated 24 years of his life to military service, serving in the artillery during the Gulf War. His devotion to faith led him to become a deacon at Spring Lake Assembly of God, where he found great joy in serving his community. He met the love of his life while stationed in Korea, a cherished chapter in his journey. Donald had a love for fishing and watching sports, always finding joy in simple pleasures.

Donald is survived by his wife, Dong Ye Stegall; his sons, Donald Steve Stegall, Jr. and David Lee Stegall; his brothers, Kenneth Stegall (Cynthia), Ronald Stegall (Sissy), Johnny Stegall (Debbie), Mike Stegall; and a great number of family and friends.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Adcock Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service with military honors will follow the service at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
