Cynthia Parker Obituary (1957 - 2023) - Spring Lake, North Carolina

Cynthia Lorraine Lee Parker, age 66 of Spring Lake, NC passed away on November 14, 2023 at her home in Spring Lake. Cynthia was born on March 16, 1957, in Harnett County, NC to the late Jerry and Louise Lee. She enjoyed gardening and plants and was a former owner of Spring Lake Garden and Hardware for over 25 years. She enjoyed taking trips to the beach and she loved and cherished her family and friends. She loved to write and would write songs that were special to her. Cynthia was the life of the party and enjoyed having fun. She will be missed by all who loved her. Cynthia is survived by her son, Jerry Parker, wife Tara Hazelton of Spring Lake, NC; sister, Janet L. Shires and husband William of Fuquay-Varina, NC; a nephew, Jacob L. Shires of Fuquay-Varina, NC; her niece, Carrie Wood and her husband William Wood of Surry County, NC; a great-Niece, Emily Wood of Surry County, NC and great-nephew, Gage Herring of Ohio. She is also survived by her aunts: Margaret Matthews and her husband Foster of Bunnlevel, NC, and Joann West of Kentucky, and a host of cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Calhoun Parker. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Lasater, and a and niece, Jaclyn Herring. At the request of the family, services will be held privately at a later date.
